Thrilling Thursday

Hi all,

Another successful day with numerous heights conquered and fears faced. 6DE climbed walls, burrowed through caves, abseiled down towers, swung on the terrifying 3D swing  (with glorious sea view) and stood atop a wobbly telegraph pole 40 foot up in the air. 6A swam and fenced, were led blindfold through a muddy obstacle course, and showed off their tightrope walking skills on the shaky "Balance Beam" far above the ground. For 6R it was much of the above plus some quad biking and archery, where they pretended to be in the "Hunger Games". All in a day's work at Kingswood.

The much hyped "Disco Night" was a glamorous affair. The jeans were tight and the lipstick bright - and you should have seen the girls, too. The dancing was fun with Honeywell taking to the stage for Gangnam Style. Happy and exhausted, no encouragement was needed to turn lights out at 10pm. They slept like logs but were still on the a sunny football pitch before breakfast at 7.30am this morning.

Today, we are expecting a colder wind and some rain, but nonetheless, highlights on the menu will be: Go-karting, Quad-biking, Aeroball and and the infamous "Leap of Faith".

That's all for now but rest assured all your children are having the most fantastic time, dashing around the campus with a freedom and confidence unfamiliar to most London children.

Up early tomorrow to catch the dawn ferry so it's farewell from us on the Isle of Wight. Thanks for following.

Love from Y6 teachers

  1. We hope you had a fantastic trip to the IoW and loads of fun experiencing the great range of activities on offer. Did 6R do themselves proud by successfully executing at least one dorm raid? We're looking forward to the return of a more mature, confident adventure seeking, risk taking, determined, iPod Touch detoxed, independent, exhausted daughter with hopefully piles of laundry! Safe journey home all. Best wishes, Diane & Pedro.
